Michelle Farris
Michelle has focused her law practice on estate planning, probate and guardianship. She enjoys working with families, elders and clients facing unique disabilities and challenges.
Michelle is an honors graduate of the University of Washington School of Law. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with Distinction at the ripe age of 20. She is licensed by the Washington State Bar Association to practice law in Washington State and is trained and certified to serve as a Title 11 Court Visitor. Michelle has over 23 years of experience as an attorney and 20 years experience as a Guardian ad Litem/Court Visitor. Michelle served on the planning committee for the King County Bar Association’s Title 11 GAL/Court Visitor training seminar from 2018-2021, and was a speaker at the training from 2017-2023.
Michelle lives in North Seattle with her husband and two boys. She is a native of the northwest, and was raised in a family that values community service and volunteering. She strives to pass those values to her children: Michelle and her kids are frequent volunteers at the Hunger Intervention Program in NE Seattle, helping to feed kids, seniors and unhoused neighbors in our city. In her free time, Michelle enjoys reading, gardening and making art with her kids. She recently completed the Washington State University Extension Washington Gardener certification, and grows blueberries in her backyard.
